ExpressCheck™

Welcome to ExpressCheck™ ,
Air New Zealand's self service check-in kiosk.

ExpressCheck is the quickest way to get your boarding pass when travelling domestically. You can use them when travelling with bags, and now if you've forgotten your card, you can just type in your name!

ExpressCheck kiosks are located in the check-in areas in Auckland, Napier, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin airports and are available for all customers travelling out of those airports on electronic tickets (unless connecting to an international flight).

Here are some of the things that you can do with the ExpressCheck kiosks:

Quick Check-in

Checking in is easy:

  • If you have included your Airpoints or Koru Club number in your booking, simply insert the relevant card and you can check-in as little as 15 seconds!
  • Alternatively, insert any card with your name on it e.g. your Airpoints or Koru Club card.  You can even use a major credit card and no, there is no charge!
  • Or, if you've forgotten you're card, you can simply type in your name.
  • What's more, if you've already checked in on-line and had trouble printing your boarding pass, you can use the ExpressCheck kiosks to reprint your boarding pass.

Check-in Multiple Passengers

If you have booked together with friends or colleagues on the same booking reference, you can check in together at the ExpressCheck kiosk and even get seats together. This is available for groups of up to four people travelling together.

Change a Seat

When you have selected the relevant flights, the system will check you in and allocate a seat.  Don't like your seat? Changing to another available seat is as easy as looking at the seat map and selecting another seat. You can also change your seat at the kiosk after you have checked in, which makes it easier for you to sit together with friends and colleagues.

Change Airpoints Number

The ExpressCheck check-in also allows you to view the Airpoints number that has been recorded against your booking. This can easily be changed during the check-in process, or added if no number has been previously recorded.

Check-in with Bags

ExpressCheck

If you are travelling with bags, ExpressCheck will still allow you to avoid the traditional check-in queues. Simply follow the standard check-in process at the kiosk and then proceed to the Bag Drop counter where your bag will be promptly tagged.

And if you're checking in out of Auckland, look out for our two special bag tag kiosks that will also print your bag tags to speed the process up even more. You can even use these if you have checked in on-line!

Check-in for Selected Flights Only

When travelling on more than one domestic flight in a day, you can choose to take advantage of Air New Zealand's return check service, where you will be issued with boarding passes for your return flight at the time that you first check-in. However, if you wish to not check-in for your return flight, this option is also available on the ExpressCheck kiosks.
